CopperWay-Bis-HV provides very high speed Utility SubStation communications over Pilot Cables with 4x Ethernet ports and 1x RS232 async interface
CopperWay-Bis-HV is especialy designed for the Utility SubStation communications. It provides up to 15 Mbps Ethernet bandwidth over existing copper Pilot Cables and Gigabit Ethernet over a fiber link.
CopperWay-Bis-HV enables Ethernet communication over up-to 20 kV Pilot Cables ad it is certified for IEC-61850-3 standard. It embeds two G.SHDSL.Bis modems with TCP-PAM128 15 Mbps speed. Any Star, Bus / Multi-Drop and resilient Ring topologies can be designed.
It delivers 4x Ethernet ports and 1x RS232 serial port to the Substation equipment and it is compatible with all Utility automation protocols - DNP3, IEC 61850, etc.
CopperWay-Bis-HV is made of a high performance Ethernet processor that performs wire speed and very low latency transmission, and two high speed SHDSL.Bis interfaces for 20 kV Copper Pilot Cable communication.
It delivers four Ethernet ports with QoS, VLAN, Traffic Shaping and also 802.1X authentication for best network security.
An RS232 port connects to an asynchronous equipment (RTU) with application transparent Point to Multi-Point and Master - Slaves modem emulation.
CopperWay-Bis-HV has two SHDSL.Bis interfaces,East and West directions to build a daisy-chain Bus or Ring network.
The industry standard SHDLS.Bis, Ethernet First Mile modem can adapt itself to the copper line conditions to reach the best speed from 192 kbps to 15 Mbps.
CopperWay-Bis-HV is highly manageable from the network. Its USB port provides automatic backup and update of configuration and software.
It comes as a robust metallic DIN rail enclosure with dual 12-24 or 24-48 Vdc power inputs.
